Artist Statement

In my artistic practice, I use graphics and painting to reflect my interest in sketching as a process of quickly modeling nature—a way to create a concise image-symbol. I am drawn to the human figure, its plasticity and emotional expression, which inspires me to seek new aesthetic solutions to the image and to reveal the model’s “psychological gestures.”
One of my working mediums is collage, where I combine figures and landscapes from different spaces, allowing them to merge into new forms. This process gives rise to associative meanings and metaphors.
The unifying theme of all my works remains the exploration of the human being and their emotional expressiveness. Like a spectator in a theater observing an actor’s performance, I capture the play of gestures, postures, and body forms—the moments when the model begins to embody their image, as if trying on a new role. Working in the fast technique of sketching, I consciously reject anatomical precision in order to preserve the energy of first impressions and the immediacy of perception.
